Bill and Cara Elder retired from teaching in Pennsylvania public schools in 1999, and then after 10 years, retired from Florida public schools on June 9, 2009. They are historic interpreters and 18th Century reenactors who enjoy depicting life in the colonial times.

As members of the 2nd PA Regiment of the Continental Line and 43rd Regiment of Foot in His Majesty's Army they have participated in major battle reenactments, such as Battleroad 2000 in Lexington and Concord (MA) to commemorate and celebrate the 225th anniversary of the American Revolution, Battle of Charleston (SC), Bordentown (New Jersey), Battle of the Hook (Gloucester, VA), Battle of Monmouth (New Jersey), Battle of Brandywine (PA), and many others which has added to their background knowledge of the Revolutionary War and Colonial Living. www.georgeandmarthawashington.com
In addition, they have contributed to living history events in Mt. Vernon, Valley Forge, Philadelphia 4th of July, Williamsburg, Princeton Battlefield (NJ), Paoli (PA), Hope Lodge (PA), Fort Roberdeau (PA).
