Dental Implants are good for you!

Replacing multiple teeth using dental implants with individual crowns or with an implant-supported fixed bridge gives your teeth a level of fit, feel and functionality that is not possible with other treatment options. The process is often completed over multiple visits:

Consultation and planning, including initial exam, imaging of your teeth, questions about your dental and medical history, and discussion of your treatment options.

Placement of the dental implants that will be used to support your replacement teeth. Temporary teeth can be placed while the dental implant integrates with your natural bone to form a strong foundation for your replacement teeth. Most people return to work the next day, and any discomfort can typically be treated with commonly used pain medication.

Placement of the abutments, or a small extension that will help connect your replacement teeth, on top of each implant, if needed.

Placement of a fixed, implant-supported bridge, or custom-made replacement teeth (crowns).

Consult with a dental implant expert to find the treatment option for missing teeth that is right for you.

Expert Dentist for DeBary and West Volusia Residents!

Dental Implants are good for you!

Traditional replacement of a complete set of upper or lower teeth (arch) using a dental implant is completed over multiple visits:

Consultation and planning, including initial exam, imaging of your teeth, questions about  your dental and medical history, and discussion of your treatment options.

Placement of the dental implants that will be used to support your replacement teeth. Temporary teeth may be placed while the dental implant integrates with your natural bone to form a strong foundation for your replacement tooth. Most people return to work the next day, and any discomfort can typically be treated with commonly used pain medication.

Placement of the abutments, or connectors placed on, or built into, the top of the implant to help connect your replacement teeth, if needed. Additional connecting devices needed to attach multiple replacement teeth to the implants also may be placed at this time.

Placement of custom-made individual replacement teeth or, most often, an implant-supported fixed bridge or implant-supported overdenture

Consult with a dental implant expert to find the treatment option for missing teeth that is right for you.

Dental implants can give you back your smile and help you feel better about yourself

Dental Implants are good for you!

Why are dental implants often the first choice and a standard of care compared to other options to restore missing or damaged teeth?

Next best thing to healthy, natural teeth.  Strong and stable, a dental implant restores a lost tooth so that it looks, feels, fits and functions like a natural tooth. Other options can lead to bone deterioration, and may interfere with eating, smiling, speaking and other activities of everyday life.

Built to last. Dental implants are a long-term solution. Traditional, tooth-supported dental bridges only last five to seven years, and with proper care often more than 10 years, but at some point they may need to be replaced. While dental implants may need periodic adjustments, they can last a lifetime when properly placed and cared for over time.

Enjoy life without worrying about your teeth!  No need to stay home or feel uncomfortable in public, embarrassed because your smile looks different, or worrying that missing teeth will limit your ability to join in the fun or that removable dentures or tooth-supported replacement teeth will loosen or fall out when you talk, eat or laugh. Teeth restored with dental implants are teeth that let you, not your teeth, lead your life.

Retain your natural face shape, and smile.  A face without teeth can sag and appear sunken and sad. Dental implants allow you to maintain the natural shape of your face and smile.

Protect healthy bone. Leaving empty spaces in your mouth after losing one or more teeth can lead to additional health issues, such as the loss and deterioration of some of your jawbone. When it is not being used to support a natural tooth, the jawbone deteriorates, losing its strength and firmness. Dental implants are the only dental restoration option that preserves and stimulates natural bone, actually helping to stimulate bone growth and prevent bone loss.

Keep your teeth in your mouth – not in a cup. Dental implants allow you to keep your teeth where they belong – in your mouth. And no more worrying that your dentures might slip or fall out. Brush, floss and care for teeth that have been replaced using dental implants exactly the way you would natural teeth – in your mouth.

Speak easy.  Adjusting to removable dentures can mean struggling to pronounce everyday words. Not so with dental implants, which function like natural teeth.
Eat your favorite foods! Taste and enjoy the foods you love without hesitation. You can bite naturally, eat virtually anything you want and, unlike removable dentures that can feel uncomfortable, you can experience the full taste of the food you eat with dental implants, too.

Look Mom, no cavities! Cavities can’t occur in an implant-restored crown, or replacement tooth; however, you will need to visit your dentist as scheduled and clean and care for it and your gums and mouth every day, the same as you would if it were a natural tooth.

Keep teeth in place – silently. Dentures may slip when you eat, talk, smile, laugh, kiss, yawn or cough, so that you have to “reposition” them back into place in the mouth. Dental implants are fixed in place and fuse naturally with your jawbone, meaning your replacement teeth won’t move, click or shift.
Protect your healthy teeth. Placing a tooth-supported bridge requires grinding away the teeth on one or both sides of the missing tooth or teeth – thereby damaging healthy teeth to restore those that are missing. The modified healthy teeth are attached to, and support, the bridge. Dental implants go in the jawbone, in the spot where your missing tooth root was, without impacting healthy teeth. They also help prevent healthy, adjacent teeth from shifting as they would if an empty space were left for an extended period of time.
More predictable than other repair and restoration methods. Dental implant treatment has a track record of reliable, long-term successful outcomes and is often considered “more predictable” than other treatments to repair or replace missing teeth, including bridgework, removable appliances and retreatment of failing root canal (endodontic) therapy.

Dental Implants are good for you!

How much do dental implants cost?

No two patients or their customized dental implant treatments are exactly alike, so the number of appointments, procedures and cost varies accordingly. After an initial appointment and assessment, your dental implant expert should provide you with a treatment plan including the estimated number of appointments and cost, and then notify you if there are any changes during the process.

Because your teeth affect everything from your smile and confidence, to your ability to eat, speak and participate in the activities you enjoy, and because there is no better option to restore missing teeth, dental implants are an investment well worth considering.

Are dental implants covered by insurance?

Recognizing the long-term patient benefits over other treatment options, an increasing number of insurance companies have started providing some coverage. If yours doesn’t, ask them if they will give you an allowance towards dental implants equal to the cost of a bridge or traditional dentures. Also ask your implant dentist about financing and payment options.

How long does it take to restore one or more teeth using dental implants?

Every case is different. After an initial consultation, your implant dentist should provide you with a treatment plan including the estimated amount of time to complete the process. The treatment time depends on each patient's restoration needs, medical and dental histories, the condition of the jawbone, and the technique and materials that are used.

To ensure a strong, sturdy and long-lasting smile that looks, feels, fits and functions over time like natural teeth, multiple appointments are almost always necessary. The total amount of time from start to finish can be as short as a few months, to more than a year for more complex conditions. Patients return home in between visits and continue to work and go about their everyday lives. What's most important is that you receive the right treatment for you, are comfortable throughout the process, and are happy with the result for years to come.

Company President Q & A

Questions Answered by Mrs. DeSalvo, President of Implant Solutions Today

How long will dental implants last?

Dental implants do not get cavities and seem to be less susceptible to gum disease. Therefore, dental implants should last longer than any other dental treatment your dentist may provide. In less than 5% of cases, the initial implant placed does not heal properly and requires replacement. Once the bone has healed around the implant they are very solid. Eventually the teeth attached to the implant will require replacement, but one should expect at least 5 years of service from the attached teeth and more than likely many more years.

Are dental implants safe?

Dental implants are made from the same materials that most hip and knee replacements are made from. Titanium is among the most bio-compatible materials that exist. There are some risks associated with dental implants, but in the hands of an experienced dentist, those risks are minimal. Our Staff have placed and restored hundreds of dental implants and taken many hours of continuing education in implant dentistry.

How much do dental implants cost?

This can be a little tricky because dental implants can be used in so many different ways and sometimes additional procedures are needed to properly place and restore the dental implant. So with that in mind, learn more at:www.implantsolutionstoday.com | 1-844-FIXBITE

Dental Implants Deland

IMPLANT SOLUTIONS TODAY CAN DO IT!!!

A dental implant requires careful treatment planning and execution in order to create a great result for the patient. The dental implant specialist and his team will evaluate various options for placing the dental implant. Depending upon the particular condition of the patient, the appropriate option will be chosen, and a treatment plan will be tailored to the specific needs of each patient.

A Single Tooth Implant

If you have lost just one tooth, you will need a single implant and a crown to replace it. The implant will also replace the tooth root which helps to preserve the bone surrounding the missing tooth. The implant will gradually integrate with the bone, helping the bone keep its natural health. You will soon forget about the missing tooth ounce the implant is placed. You will enjoy your new good looks and confidence immediately.

Multiple Teeth Replacement

For a patient who has lost multiple teeth due to disease, decay or an injury, there is an effective option of multiple dental implants to replace all the missing teeth. Some the roots will also get replaced, while all the natural missing teeth will get replaced too. Implant-supported bridges will replace teeth without disturbing the strength of the neighboring teeth. In the long run, the dental implants prove to be much more aesthetically pleasing, and provide better functionality and comfort compared to bridgework or dentures.

Replacing the Entire Set of Teeth

An implant-supported full bridge or full denture option is available for the patients who are in need of replacing all of their teeth. This is a sustainable and long-lasting solution. It helps the patient to retain a more natural bite and chewing ability compared to conventional dentures. It is also healthier and easier to maintain in the long run.

Sinus Augmentation and Ridge Modification are the other procedures for dental implants that might be required in specific cases where the bone loss has been excessive, or there are other deformities that hinder the implants.

We specialize in providing the finest care for all types of dental implant conditions. Dr. David Turbyfill and his dedicated team are working with a passion to create a beautiful smile for every patient who is suffering from the loss of teeth.
