Expert Dentist for DeBary and West Volusia Residents!

Dental Implants are good for you!

Traditional replacement of a complete set of upper or lower teeth (arch) using a dental implant is completed over multiple visits:

Consultation and planning, including initial exam, imaging of your teeth, questions about  your dental and medical history, and discussion of your treatment options.

Placement of the dental implants that will be used to support your replacement teeth. Temporary teeth may be placed while the dental implant integrates with your natural bone to form a strong foundation for your replacement tooth. Most people return to work the next day, and any discomfort can typically be treated with commonly used pain medication.

Placement of the abutments, or connectors placed on, or built into, the top of the implant to help connect your replacement teeth, if needed. Additional connecting devices needed to attach multiple replacement teeth to the implants also may be placed at this time.

Placement of custom-made individual replacement teeth or, most often, an implant-supported fixed bridge or implant-supported overdenture

Consult with a dental implant expert to find the treatment option for missing teeth that is right for you.

Consult with a dental implant expert to find the treatment option for missing teeth !

Dental Implants are good for you!

Replacing multiple teeth using dental implants with individual crowns or with an implant-supported fixed bridge gives your teeth a level of fit, feel and functionality that is not possible with other treatment options. The process is often completed over multiple visits:

Consultation and planning, including initial exam, imaging of your teeth, questions about your dental and medical history, and discussion of your treatment options.

Placement of the dental implants that will be used to support your replacement teeth. Temporary teeth can be placed while the dental implant integrates with your natural bone to form a strong foundation for your replacement teeth. Most people return to work the next day, and any discomfort can typically be treated with commonly used pain medication.

Placement of the abutments, or a small extension that will help connect your replacement teeth, on top of each implant, if needed.

Placement of a fixed, implant-supported bridge, or custom-made replacement teeth (crowns).

WHAT ARE DENTAL IMPLANTS?

Big Question Answered for DeLand and of Central Florida!!

WHAT ARE DENTAL IMPLANTS?

The implants themselves are tiny titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. These metal anchors act as tooth root substitutes. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. Small posts that protrude through the gums are then attached to the implant. These posts provide stable anchors for artificial replacement teeth.

Implants also help preserve facial structure, preventing bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing.

Who should perform your dental implant procedure?

Dental Implants are good for you!

What are the risks of dental implants?

Dental implants, which have been used for decades, are proven safe and effective.  Dental implant surgery is one of the most predictable procedures in dentistry.

Complications from dental implant surgery are rare but, as with any medical procedure, there are risks, and these risks may be higher for patients who smoke or have other medical conditions. Risks include: infection, which generally responds to medication; damage to other teeth, tooth roots, sinus problems; fractures; nerve damage that can result in pain, numbness or tingling; inability to complete the procedure due to inadequate jawbone; and implant failure.

Talk with your implant dentist before any procedure to discuss your health history and habits and to fully understand the risks involved.

Who should perform the procedure?

It is essential to choose a dental implant expert with the training, skills and experience to assess your situation and custom design a personalized treatment plan just for you.

Affordable Dental Implants Thoughts

Here are two ways to make getting Dental Implants more affordable...

Financing!! www.implantsolutionstoday.com

There are companies such as Care Credit that finance dental work, allowing a patient to receive implants and make monthly payments along with the applicable fees and interest. The main requirement to qualify for the loan is a decent credit score. Since they are the longest-lasting restoration option and typically do not require continuing dental work in the future, financing the cost (despite fees and interest) can be a great way to afford implants.

Insurance Coverage!! www.implantsolutionstoday.com

Some dental insurance carriers do not cover implants because it is considered a cosmetic procedure, but company policies continue to change. Some dental insurance providers are starting to offer to pay up to the cost of similar, but less expensive procedure such as bridge or partial dentures. Insurance coverage will usually include procedures that restore functions that are compromised by the pain caused by missing teeth. If dental implants are the only procedure that can bring your oral health back to normal, then your insurance will probably cover at least a portion of it.

Company President Q & A

Questions Answered by Mrs. DeSalvo, President of Implant Solutions Today

How long will dental implants last?

Dental implants do not get cavities and seem to be less susceptible to gum disease. Therefore, dental implants should last longer than any other dental treatment your dentist may provide. In less than 5% of cases, the initial implant placed does not heal properly and requires replacement. Once the bone has healed around the implant they are very solid. Eventually the teeth attached to the implant will require replacement, but one should expect at least 5 years of service from the attached teeth and more than likely many more years.

Are dental implants safe?

Dental implants are made from the same materials that most hip and knee replacements are made from. Titanium is among the most bio-compatible materials that exist. There are some risks associated with dental implants, but in the hands of an experienced dentist, those risks are minimal. Our Staff have placed and restored hundreds of dental implants and taken many hours of continuing education in implant dentistry.

How much do dental implants cost?

This can be a little tricky because dental implants can be used in so many different ways and sometimes additional procedures are needed to properly place and restore the dental implant. So with that in mind, learn more at:www.implantsolutionstoday.com | 1-844-FIXBITE

Dental Implants Deland

IMPLANT SOLUTIONS TODAY CAN DO IT!!!

A dental implant requires careful treatment planning and execution in order to create a great result for the patient. The dental implant specialist and his team will evaluate various options for placing the dental implant. Depending upon the particular condition of the patient, the appropriate option will be chosen, and a treatment plan will be tailored to the specific needs of each patient.

A Single Tooth Implant

If you have lost just one tooth, you will need a single implant and a crown to replace it. The implant will also replace the tooth root which helps to preserve the bone surrounding the missing tooth. The implant will gradually integrate with the bone, helping the bone keep its natural health. You will soon forget about the missing tooth ounce the implant is placed. You will enjoy your new good looks and confidence immediately.

Multiple Teeth Replacement

For a patient who has lost multiple teeth due to disease, decay or an injury, there is an effective option of multiple dental implants to replace all the missing teeth. Some the roots will also get replaced, while all the natural missing teeth will get replaced too. Implant-supported bridges will replace teeth without disturbing the strength of the neighboring teeth. In the long run, the dental implants prove to be much more aesthetically pleasing, and provide better functionality and comfort compared to bridgework or dentures.

Replacing the Entire Set of Teeth

An implant-supported full bridge or full denture option is available for the patients who are in need of replacing all of their teeth. This is a sustainable and long-lasting solution. It helps the patient to retain a more natural bite and chewing ability compared to conventional dentures. It is also healthier and easier to maintain in the long run.

Sinus Augmentation and Ridge Modification are the other procedures for dental implants that might be required in specific cases where the bone loss has been excessive, or there are other deformities that hinder the implants.

We specialize in providing the finest care for all types of dental implant conditions. Dr. David Turbyfill and his dedicated team are working with a passion to create a beautiful smile for every patient who is suffering from the loss of teeth.
