The Timucuan Indians were the first inhabitants of Hontoon Island. Evidence of their presence can be seen by a large shell mound that still exist at the end of the Hammock Trail, 1.7 miles one way, on what is mostly a shaded hike.

The Timucua were an American Indian people who lived in Northeast and North Central Florida and southeast Georgia. They were the largest indigenous group in that area and consisted of about 35 chiefdoms, many leading thousands of people. The various groups of Timucua spoke several dialects of the Timucua language.
At the time of European contact, the territory occupied by speakers of Timucuan dialects occupied about 19,200 square miles, and was home to between 50,000 and 200,000 Timuacans. It stretched from the Altamaha River and Cumberland Island in present-day Georgia as far south as Lake George in central Florida, and from the Atlantic Ocean west to the Aucilla River in the Florida Panhandle, though it reached the Gulf of Mexico at no more than a couple of points.

Red Roof Shares Food Theory With You!

Breakfast Benefit: Weight Control (http://1876heritageinn.com/red-roof-cafe.htm)

Many studies, in both adults and children, have shown that breakfast eaters tend to weigh less than breakfast skippers.

Why? One theory suggests that eating a healthy breakfast can reduce hunger throughout the day, and help people make better food choices at other meals. While it might seem you could save calories by skipping breakfast, this is not an effective strategy. Typically, hunger gets the best of breakfast-skippers, and they eat more at lunch and throughout the day.

Another theory behind the breakfast-weight control link implies that eating breakfast is part of a healthy lifestyle that includes making wise food choices and balancing calories with exercise. For example, consider the successful losers followed by the National Weight Control Registry, all of whom have lost at least 30 pounds and kept it off at least one year. Some 80% of the people in the Registry regularly eat breakfast (and also follow a calorie-controlled, low-fat diet).

It's worth noting that most studies linking breakfast to weight control loss looked at a healthy breakfast containing protein and/or whole grains -- not meals loaded with fat and calories.

The Red Roof Cafe wants breakfast to be part of your healthy lifestyle - so eat breakfast this week with!

New Year's Resolution Idea by Bounce Marketing!

Happy New Year To Everyone!

It's time again to think about resolutions for 2015...

Since Bounce! thinks about marketing alot. Well, here is our suggestion for you - enjoy... START A BLOG!

Did you know that blogging can boost your creativity? It helps organize thoughts, it can motivate, it can inspire, it can help create new ideas, and it allows time to reflect on different perspectives and point of views of others. If blogging speaks to you, why not start today? After blogging for one year, you may meet countless people who inspire you to think more creatively and tap into ideas you wouldn't have. A lot of growth can happen in one year, and it can all start with one post.

The key to success in blogging is to make every attempt to post often. If you want to become a better writer, a more creative professional, or a stronger family member, you need to make a daily or weekly commitment to it. So now is the time to start to love blogging! Become happy knowing you may offer support and words of encouragement to anyone thinking and reading about you and your new blog (ie your 2015 resolution).

You can sign up for a free WordPress, Tumblr, or Blogger account and have your first post up today. Bounce Marketing Institute has experience in both platforms. We currently write daily, weekly, and monthly branding based posts for our valued clients on these platforms. Different platforms is something to think about if you plan to get serious about blogging and become a full time, part time, or hobbyist blogger. So 'Make the commitment to at least one post per week'... every week. If you don’t already have one, invest in a good camera and learn how to use it. This is what I use a DLSR Nikon. If your living on a tight budget try this instead, sometime I use my trusty camera feature on my Android. Both are great to get a cool photo or image to use on a blog post.

Either way have fun and get blogging today! Have questions? Go to www.bouncemarketing.org to contact us.
